Mayfaire Raises $320,000 for Alzheimer's Remodel, Gala Photo Gallery
This year’s Mayfaire drew some 650 people together for the special event to raise money to help remodel the existing Alzheimer’s/Memory Support Unit at the Benefis Senior Care Center in order to offer a new model of care for current and future residents.
After expenses, this year’s Gala and Golf Tournament raised $194,198 for the Alzheimer’s Remodel Campaign. An additional $125,900 was donated or pledged through a special appeal for a grand total of $320,098.
The funds will help pay for an innovative plan to transform the Alzheimer’s/Memory Support Unit into two Households with private rooms and many other features designed specifically for care and support of dementia residents and their families.
