Items for discussion will include: pregnancy, the stages of labor, comfort and relaxation techniques, medical procedures and cesarean birth, newborn care, the postpartum period and a tour of the Benefis Birth Center. Understanding Birth: A Series of 6 Educational Sessions Date:6/3/2013 Time: Classes will take place Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m Location: Weigand Conference Room - Benefis South Tower, 2nd floor, 1101 26th Street South, Great Falls, MT Benefis Birth Center is now offering a six-week childbirth education series that will consist of:
- Pregnancy
- Labor
- Comfort Techniques in Labor
- Medical Procedures and Cesarean Birth
- Caring for a Newborn
- Postpartum issues
New moms and their support person are encouraged to sign up to start a session when they are between 20-28 weeks. Cost is $60 per six class series; waivers are available. Registration is required. Classes will take place Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:

Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute’s 2nd Annual Art Show & Exhibit
If you are a cancer survivor, caregiver or have been impacted by cancer, Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute invites you to participate in our “Life on Camera” Exhibition and Art Show.
Submissions:
Entries will be accepted in the short film category (2 minutes or less) in a
DVD format or the photography category, with photos from 4”x 6” up to 11” x 14.” Application forms and submission criteria for both film and photography are available to download below. Submissions will be accepted through June 3, 2013.

Awards will be presented for the “Peoples Choice” and the “Best of Show” on June 7th during the First Friday Art Walk to be held at Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute’s Cancer Survivor Event from 6:30p.m. – 9:00 p.m., 1117 29 th Street South, Great Falls.
Special Presentation:
Beginning at 5:00 p.m. is a special presentation celebrating Cancer Survivor’s Day and cancer survivors. Local photographer Cindy Cieluch will share her mothers’s cancer journey as she captured it on film.

Children will receive a backpack, read stories, swaddle life-like dolls and take a hike through the Benefis Birth Center in this class that describes what it’s like to have a new baby at home. Bring a camera! $5 per child; waivers available.

Understanding Birth: A Series of 6 Educational Sessions Date:7/22/2013 Time: Classes will take place Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m Location: Weigand Conference Room - Benefis South Tower, 2nd floor, 1101 26th Street South, Great Falls, MT Benefis Birth Center is now offering a six-week childbirth education series that will consist of:
- Pregnancy
- Labor
- Comfort Techniques in Labor
- Medical Procedures and Cesarean Birth
- Caring for a Newborn
- Postpartum issues
New moms and their support person are encouraged to sign up to start a session when they are between 20-28 weeks. Cost is $60 per six class series; waivers are available. Registration is required. Classes will take place Monday evenings from 6-8 p.m. on the following dates:
