Online Bill Pay
Benefis Health System offers the convenience of online bill payments for hospital and physician services. All online payment transactions are secure. We accept all major credit cards or you may select to pay through your checking account or savings account. You may choose to pay your entire bill, a portion of your bill or you can call our friendly patient billing staff to set up automatic monthly payments.

Billing Policy and Process
Depending on the insurance you have, you may be asked to pay a co-payment or deductible, and you may be asked to pay a portion of the bill as your share of the total cost. Benefis Patient Billing Services will submit the charges for medical services to all insurance companies provided by the patient at the time of registration. You will need to follow the payment process to make sure all parts of your bill have been covered or directly paid. Any amounts that are not paid by the insurance company or other third party payer will remain the responsibility of the patient or their guarantor.
While the billing process can be lengthy and sometimes confusing, the professionals in patient billing services are experts in health care billing and are available to answer any of your questions.

As a not-for-profit community health system Benefis is committed to caring for all in need, regardless of ability to pay. If you are uninsured or underinsured, you may qualify for a partial or total reduction of your medical bill.

Benefis uses the Federal Poverty Level Guidelines to determine eligibility, taking into account each patient’s family size and overall financial status. To see eligibility guidelines in more detail click HERE.
Patients also may qualify for financial assistance due to the size of their medical debt. Medical debt exceeding 30 percent of an individual or family’s annual gross income is eligible for a 100 percent write off. The patient must not have more than $7,500 in individual assets. Family assets, if applicable, may not exceed $15,000.
Uninsured patients also receive a discount of 40 percent.
Application for Financial Assistance
Applications for our Financial Assistance Program are available to all patients. Forms may be completed before admission, at the time of service, or after discharge.
