All exam rooms are private to ensure confidentiality for our customers. There are three critical-care rooms, designed to care for the acutely ill, including heart attack and stroke patients, medical emergencies and multiple trauma victims. These rooms were built to allow the caregiver to remain at the bedside with advanced technology to improve our effectiveness. Each room also is capable of supporting most radiology exams at the bedside. The remaining exam rooms can accommodate most other patients. There is also a “safe room” for observation of patients who are at-risk of harm to themselves and/or others. The ED is adjacent to cardiac catheterization labs, Operating Rooms, radiology and laboratory services, and has direct and private routes to critical care areas that are not publicly accessible. With a radiology suite in the Emergency Department, most patients do not have to leave the area for their care. An extensive addition to the waiting area just has been completed for improved services for our customers. The enlarged area is more open and friendly with a focus on the children's waiting area. A quiet room is adjacent to this waiting area to accommodate families if needed. The ED is a locked unit for security purposes. Only staff members have access to exam areas, although we welcome family members at the bedside, no more than two at a time. As a Level II Trauma Center, Benefis Hospitals Emergency Department treats critical trauma victims injured in our community and across central Montana. Our flight services provide aeromedical transport via both helicopter and airplane to meet these needs. Mercy Flight's mission is to treat and transport patients from within a 200-mile radius of Great Falls. Mercy Flight has been in service to our region for 25 years, completing more than 700 transports per year. If you have any questions about Benefis Hospitals or this website, please email us. We want to hear from you! |
