To further emphasize our committment to quality breast care to women of our region, we voluntarily submitted to a rigorous evaluation and performance review by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). In October of 2009 the Benefis Hospital's Breast Center was granted a full three-year accreditation based on proficiency in all 27 standards evaluated. What does this mean to you? Diagnostics

From screening mammography to diagnostic imaging, the Benefis Hospitals Breast Center offers the latest technology with digital computer-aided detection. New, high-resolution ultrasound is available to assist with dignostics. Based on diagnostic findings, several biopsy options are available to accommodate each woman's individual needs. Surgery

Whether a woman diagnosed with breast cancer chooses breast conservation (lumpectomy) or mastectomy, the skilled surgeons at the Benefis Hospitals Breast Center are able to perform the surgery and provide follow-up. Treatment

In a rapidly changing field, our medical and radiation oncologists are prepared to offer the most current standard of care in breast cancer treatment, whether it be radiation, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy, biotherapy or a combination of these modalities.
