The Benefis Med Spa offers a full range of therapeutic massage techniques to relax, relieve and heal. Our techniques include Swedish Massage, Neuromuscular Therapy and Deep Tissue work.
Therapeutic Massage Coordinator Penny Reynolds is passionate about helping her patients find relief, particularly those who suffer from chronic pain. Reynolds, a Great Falls native, holds certifications in neuromuscular massage therapy and therapeutic massage and bodywork.
Our certified massage therapists are trained in a variety of techniques. Whether you suffer from chronic pain or simply want to relax, we'll customize your treatment to your needs.
Swedish Massage
This technique uses long gliding strokes, kneading strokes, friction strokes and percussion as well as joint movements that feel great while improving range of motion. Swedish massage can vary from light pressure to heavier pressure depending on your comfort level.
Neuromuscular Therapy
Often called NMT, Neuromuscular Therapy is a massage technique for relieving muscular pain and muscle spasms throughout the body. The technique uses targeted compression and friction massage techniques, positioning and stretching to release the myofascial trigger points in muscles as well as restrictions in tendons, muscular attachments and fascia surrounding the muscle.
Deep Tissue
Slow stokes and deep finger pressure are used to treat chronic tension in the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissues that contribute to pain and loss of range of motion in joints.
