How You Can Help

Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers are an important part of the Sletten team. These caring and committed individuals perform a variety of functions, including assisting our administrative staff, interacting with patients and their families and assisting with special events.

Our volunteer placements are Monday through Friday during our regular business hours of 8 a.m.- 5 p.m. Volunteer shifts vary in length and can be arranged to work around existing commitments. Occasionally, special events scheduled during evenings or weekends will require other arrangements.

The Sletten Cancer Institute is looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to assist staff, patients, and their families. Volunteers need to be reliable, committed to their volunteer service, and be available on a regular basis.

Other individuals choose to share their talents with us by volunteering to make hats, comfort caps, and pillows for our Image Center. These items are offered free of charge to our patients and are greatly appreciated by the institute.

If you or someone you know would like to volunteer at Sletten Cancer Institute, please call Kathy Yarger, Manager of Volunteer Services, at
455-5191. You may also call us directly at 731-8225.

Volunteers are needed for this center, and can contact Kathy Yarger at 455-5191 for more information. You may also call us directly at 731-8225.

Giving Opportunities

Sletten Cancer Institute was built through the amazing generosity of area donors who shared in the dream of bringing cutting-edge cancer therapies and services closer to home. Many programs at Sletten, including the Image and Resource centers, and support groups continue to be made possible by donations to the Benefis Healthcare Foundation. Donations help to defer the cost of treatment, provide temporary housing for out-of-town patients, and so much more. Donations are always welcome and can be made by visiting the Foundation website, or contacting the Benefis Healthcare Foundation at (406) 455-5840.
