Medical Oncology

The medical oncologists at Sletten Cancer Institute are dedicated to finding better ways to detect and treat cancer. In fact, the medical oncologists at SCI not only diagnosis and treat cancer, but see their patients through the entire continuum of care. They address the prevention of cancer, the coordination of treatment between all cancer therapies, and provide supportive and follow-up care.

At SCI, we deliver traditional forms of cancer therapy including chemotherapy; hormonal treatment and biologic therapies, while actively participating in clinical trials. In fact, 14 % of SCI patients are enrolled in clinical trials, compared to 2-3% nationally. Our medical oncologists work closely with referring physicians, surgeons and radiation oncologists to develop a comprehensive treatment program specifically designed for each individual patient.
