Benefis Named Among 150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare for 6th Consecutive Year

Becker’s Hospital Review, a leading source of information on the healthcare industry, released its “150 Top Places to Work in Healthcare” 2019 list and named Benefis Health System among the recipients of this prestigious award for the sixth-consecutive year. Benefis is the only health system in Montana to receive this designation.

“We have incredible, hardworking employees, and employee satisfaction is an area we take very seriously,” said Casey Buckingham, Benefis Senior Vice President of Human Resources. “We want Benefis to be the best place you’ve ever worked, so we continually gather feedback from employees and work together to make Benefis even better.”

The 150 featured organizations offer benefits and opportunities for employees to build successful careers above and beyond the average healthcare organization. Benefis was selected because it encourages professional development and employee engagement, provides competitive benefits packages, offers access to more affordable health care, displays cultural sensitivity, and its employees consistently support each other in various ways, like donating PTO and giving to the Caring for Our Own Fund.

Benefis employees are offered comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance plans, a 403(b) pension plan with a 5 percent contribution match that increases based on tenure, among other benefits like access to two employee fitness centers for just $5 a month. Benefis also offers up to $3,000 per year per employee in tuition reimbursement and scholarships through its foundation.

As part of the commitment to be the best place to work, Benefis has maintained a no-layoff policy and provided annual pay increases to its employees for 16-consecutive years.

“It’s incredible to see the dedication Benefis employees show to serving our patients and our community; their commitment is truly what makes Benefis a great place to work,” said John Goodnow, CEO of Benefis Health System.
