Peace Hospice Recognized for Top-Tier Caregiving

Benefis Peace Hospice has been recognized as a “Superior Performer” from among 1,800 hospice programs by Strategic Healthcare Programs.

The recognition centered on Peace Hospice's patient satisfaction score. Peace Hospice achieved an overall caregiver and family experience score that ranked in the top 20% of all eligible SHP programs in 2024.

The award looked at communication, treating patients with respect, emotional and spiritual support, pain management, accommodating care preferences, and more.

"We’re so grateful to the patients and families who have trusted us to provide compassionate care during one of the most profound moments in their lives," said Latoya Reovan, director of Peace Hospice.

The annual SHPBest award program was created to acknowledge hospice providers that consistently provide high-quality service to families and caregivers of patients receiving hospice care. Recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall CAHPS Hospice caregiver experience score for more than 1,800 hospice providers.

“SHP recognizes how much hard work is involved in providing excellent patient care, and we are proud to acknowledge the tireless efforts of our top-performing customers through our annual SHPBest award program. These organizations care deeply about the patient experience, and they never stop striving to improve every single year,” Kevin Vogel, president of SHP, said in the award announcement.

Peace Hospice also earned the recognition in 2019.
