Scholarship Information for Students
The Benefis Foundation’s Healthcare Scholarship Program is designed to help students from Great Falls and the surrounding region pursue their dreams of becoming healthcare providers.
Thanks to the generosity of many donors, Benefis Foundation has awarded more than $2.1 million in scholarships to students pursuing a degree, certification, or advancement in a medically related field since the program began in 1998.
- A committee of volunteers reviews all applications and awards scholarships based on the individual applicant and the funds available.
- All applicants must have a minimum 2.75 GPA and be enrolled in at least 9 credits per semester.
- There is one application for all available healthcare (General and Medical) scholarships. The Sacred Circle has its own application.
- Students who were awarded scholarships in a previous year can complete a renewal application, which requires only one letter of recommendation. All new applications require two letters of recommendation.

Medical
Application open April 1 – June 15
Medical scholarships are specifically to support students pursuing a Doctor of Medicine degree or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, with a preference to students at Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine Montana, Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, and WWAMI.

Sacred Circle Scholarship
Application open April 1 – June 15
This scholarship exists to support students who have been involved in the Benefis Peace Hospice bereavement programs including TAG, volunteer or camper at Camp Francis, volunteer or camper at Darcy’s Hope.
Terry Jackson Scholarship
Applications open Aug. 1 – Oct. 1
The Terry L. Jackson, MD Memorial Scholarship is for students in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Great Falls College-MSU.
