Providers Are Setting Course for Goodnow Healthy Aging Center

Thank you! Your generous support means the Goodnow Healthy Aging Center is on track for a fall 2026 opening and ready to redefine what it means to age in Montana.

When it comes to aging, “what matters most” is first among the “Five M’s.”

Plans for mobility, mind, medication, and mood all center around supporting a patient’s own motivation, be that keeping up with grandchildren, remaining independent at home, or taking a hot air balloon across the Serengeti.

“We’re treating an individual, and that individual has hopes and dreams. When we can align our recommendations, the situation, and what they want, it’s life-changing and it’s fun,” said Kyra Carpenter, DO. “We’re focusing on what’s important to them.”

Because of donor support, work is underway not only on building the dedicated 15,000-square-foot outpatient clinic but also on shaping the innovative care that will happen inside the Goodnow Healthy Aging Center.

An interdisciplinary team will work on a comprehensive plan that will be a pathway for supporting patients’ goals. The plan for every patient will be personal and actionable.

Dana Morgan, MD, will be based in the center, focusing her functional medicine practice on the proactive improvement of patient health and longevity starting as young as age 40 or even earlier.

“Medicine should be personal,” Dr. Morgan said. “I want to help women feel better, and it is the coolest thing I do, the best medicine I could practice, and it hasn’t been mainstream for most clinicians to work in hormones.”
