Introduction
Dr. Steven Bailey is a cardiovascular surgeon with extensive experience in all aspects of general thoracic and vascular surgery. He is an expert in a full range of traditional, diagnostic, and interventional procedures.
Dr. Bailey was inspired to pursue his career by his father, who studied medicine but was unable to finish school because of injuries he sustained in World War II. “He was a wise and influential figure in my life,” Dr. Bailey shares.
For Dr. Bailey, each patient is a unique individual. Dr. Bailey gets to know each patient as a person, not a disease. “By knowing the person behind the diagnosis, I can help answer their questions and soften their fears,” he says. Dr. Bailey’s skills help him make a difference in many people’s lives, and he deeply enjoy working with patients “to overcome or cure diseases and unleash the patient’s potential to live a full and active life.”
Dr. Bailey has a full life outside his medical practice, and he loves spending time on his ranch. He’s a devoted fan of draft horses, Ford tractors, and Guernsey dairy cattle. He also enjoys rooting for the UCLA Bruins and riding his Harley motorcycle. Before entering civilian life, Dr. Bailey was a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force.
