Introduction

Dr. Benny Brandvold has more than 30 years of experience managing neurosurgical problems which include intracranial problems as well as spine and carpal tunnel surgeries. Although he is a surgeon, he exhausts nonsurgical management options before recommending surgery.

Following a back injury of his own, he saw multiple spine surgeons but was frustrated with the lack of an explanation for his ongoing symptoms. That is why it is his practice he feels it is not only important to provide a treatment plan but also an explanation of their problem and the management options.

Dr. Brandvold encourages patients to be an active member of the health care team and urges them “not to be shy to ask questions or request a second opinion.”

Away from the office, Dr. Brandvold referees high school and club soccer. He is married with two adult children and enjoys amateur paleontology and collecting political campaign memorabilia.
