Introduction

Dr. Stephen Osiro is a hospitalist with specialty training in internal medicine and infectious diseases. He cherishes the challenge of seeing through his patients’ health complaints and formulating the best possible plan of care for them.

Dr. Osiro’s practice philosophy is simple. “I always strive to diagnose a disease first before I treat,” he says. “If a patient’s problem is not clear to me on first evaluation, I strive to take a timeout and think rather than prescribe something just to make the patient feel good.”

As a child, Dr. Osiro observed his father treat the sick in his hometown with simple herbal drugs. It was his father’s passion of improving the lives of others in his community that inspired Dr. Osiro to pursue a career in medicine.

Outside of being a hospitalist, Dr. Osiro has a variety of hobbies. “I am a competitive bowler, and I love scenery and photography. I am also a decent soccer player,” he says. “My greatest joy right now outside work is spending quality time with my wife, Zoe, and three young daughters.”
