Introduction

Dr. Deborah Rose started her career in the film industry before switching to medicine.  After many years as a general surgeon, working with underserved populations in the US and overseas, her interests gradually shifted.  She completed fellowships in both Integrative Medicine and Addiction Medicine and is board certified in both.

“Addiction Medicine is a specialty in which we, as a team, can address both the complex needs of each individual patient while, at the same time, we address a huge public health problem.”

What she enjoys most about her work is the privilege of hearing people’s stories and helping to reframe them in a way that supports recovery.  The teamwork is an ongoing learning process.
