Introduction

Dr. A. Michal Stevens is an infectious disease doctor who believes in patient-centered care.

“I offer people options and counseling, and they make their own choices,” she explains.

Dr. Stevens chose the infectious disease field because she has always found microbiology and the study of disease outbreaks fascinating. What keeps her passionate about her work is seeing patients get better.

She has been involved in leading numerous research studies and published articles about her investigations. She has also volunteered both domestically and internationally.
