Introduction

Dr. Katrina Lewis is a pain management doctor who specializes in treating chronic pain from all causes. She has also received advanced training and degrees in the areas of interventional pain procedures, clinical nutrition, integrative/functional medicine, and environmental medicine.  She has also lectured nationally at numerous conferences and is often consulted as an expert witness and advisor.

Dr. Lewis takes a holistic approach to patient care. “I believe in treating the whole patient in a comprehensive manner using naturopathic approaches as well as allopathic approaches. I try to avoid medications as much as possible,” she explains.

She is passionate about making a difference in the quality of her patients’ lives. “My level of caring is only exceeded my level of expertise,” she says. Her primary advice to patients is to regularly exercise and “honor your body with good nutrition.”

From a young age, Dr. Lewis was inspired to become a doctor by her mother, who was also a physician. In addition to English, Dr. Lewis speaks Afrikaans and French. Outside of the hospital, she enjoys a wide variety of hobbies including photography, cooking, travel, water sports including kitesurfing, and ballroom dancing.
