Introduction

Dr. Mary Ann Evans is board-certified in both psychiatry and addiction psychiatry , and she’s as warm as she is empathetic. She treats all aspects of adult psychiatry, such as mood, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and substance use disorders.

Dr. Evans is passionate about providing care that accounts for what’s happening with her patient’s physical, emotional, and mental health, and how they all affect each other.  She respectfully says, “My patients are my greatest teachers. Hats off to them and their courage.”

“I try to treat patients the way I would want to be treated, because it could be me in their shoes. I want my patients to know their brain disorder is not their identity.” She adds, “I want them to have hope that they will get better.”

Outside of treating patients, Dr. Evans enjoys history and reading, spending time with her family and faith community, and loves the outdoors and activities including cross-country skiing, hiking, kayaking, and camping.
