Introduction
Lisa O’Brien is a licensed clinical social worker and addiction counselor who specializes in counseling and crisis management.
“I believe that everyone has the right to quality and timely mental healthcare, and I’m honored that people allow me to walk with them on some of their worst days,” she explains.
Lisa was inspired to work in a ‘helping profession’ at a young age after watching a moving documentary on pediatric cancer care. She believes that nurture, connection to others, and respect are all very important elements of mental and physical wellness.
She strives to help her patients achieve a healthy, happy, and fulfilling life. Part of that is understanding that they don’t need to strive for perfection. She tells her patients “No one is 100% mentally healthy. There is no such thing as perfect mental health.”
Outside her practice, Lisa enjoys reading and relaxing on her porch swing or on the beach. She also practices judo and has earned her yellow belt.
