Introduction
Nicole Larson is a nurse practitioner specializing in care for preterm and term babies, along with their families.
Nicole has been part of the Benefis Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nursing team since 2013 and joined the flight team in 2016, transporting critically ill babies by air.
“Celebrating milestones with the families is really special. We find ways to have happy experiences in what can be a really dark time,” she said. “It’s never in anyone’s plans or wishes to be in the NICU, so we hope we are doing what we can to get them through that challenging time and to help them learn to care for a baby who may have different needs than if they had come to full term.”
Nicole’s mom is from Butte, and Nicole grew up coming to Montana from Washington every summer. She was finally able to make Montana her year-round home when she came for college. She likes reading, time with her family, and sharing the outdoors with her fiancé and their dogs.
