Introduction
Breanna Hudik is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in inpatient and outpatient palliative care of adult and pediatric patients.
Palliative care often helps people manage serious illnesses, including alleviation of distressing symptoms, providing additional illness education and support, and assistance with advanced care planning. Palliative care is an extra layer of support that is provided alongside primary care or specialist care to improve the patient’s overall quality of life.
“It’s important to work through what their goals are — to attend a special event, see a particular milestone in their loved one’s lives , to return to a favorite spot — and how they can have the best quality of life to accomplish the goals most important to them,” she said.
Breanna has been part of the Benefis team since 2015, working in inpatient and outpatient oncology for the last seven years.
Breanna enjoys hiking, kayaking, trap shooting, and baking. She, her husband, and their dogs go backpacking in the summer, especially into the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
