Introduction
Lisa Edmister is a certified nurse-midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner who provides care for women at all stages of life. She began her career as a labor and delivery nurse but discovered a passion for guiding her patients through pregnancy, delivery, and beyond.
Lisa credits strong mentorship early in her career as the inspiration to bring a holistic approach to women’s health. She works to establish trust with her patients from the first visit, focusing on physical and emotional well-being. “I feel that contributes to a person’s health,” she says.
Addressing concerns beyond the basics of a well-woman visit is important to Lisa. “I think women often put their own needs second,” she adds.
Lisa is originally from Malta, Mont., but she and her husband have called Great Falls home since 2001. She enjoys cheering on her daughter at University of Montana sporting events, tending to her newly empty nest at home, and learning to golf.
