William Bowden, PMHNP

Introduction

William Bowden is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive mental health services. William completed two clinical rotations at Benefis Health System and was inspired to join the team.

William was drawn to a career in healthcare after spending a significant amount of time in the hospital with a childhood cardiac issue. He felt inspired to serve others and saw the need for mental health practitioners across the nation and in Montana.

William strives to recognize the needs of his patients on multiple levels and provide answers and resources.

“I want my patients to feel heard and feel like I am an empowering and caring presence in their lives,” he says. “There is a big difference between listening and understanding. I hope my patients feel safe to be open with me and know that I understand them.”

In his free time, William enjoys spending time with family and friends. His favorite activities include camping, mountain biking, basketball, pickleball, and reading.
