Introduction
Michael Yegerlehner is a licensed clinical professional counselor who provides counseling and other mental health services in the Behavioral Health Department. He strives to help others through some of the most vulnerable and painful moments in life with empathy and compassion.
The support Michael received during his own periods of struggle inspired his career path. He feels honored to give back through his work. He is fueled by the understanding that life can be hard, and we all need support at times.
Treating his patients how he would want to be treated is a hallmark of Michael’s practice.
“Treating patients in the mental health field requires a delicate balance of support and gently challenging the person,” he says. “I try to find a balance with each patient, keeping in mind that each person’s experiences are unique to them.”
In his free time, Michael enjoys playing computer games, reading, and playing board games with friends. He also likes to cook and invite friends over to taste his creations. Michael and his wife also make time to volunteer in the community.
