Introduction
Dr. Steven Goldberg is a board-certified interventional cardiologist with more than two decades of experience in his field. Dr. Goldberg treats a range of cardiovascular conditions including congenital and structural heart conditions.
Dr. Goldberg was drawn to cardiology during his first year of medical school. He enjoys the variety of cases and the opportunity to keep people healthy and save lives. Dr. Goldberg says the patients and the “tools of the trade” made him fall in love with his specialty.
“I approach each case by trying to understand what my patient wants and needs,” he says. “Then I can provide the best options to balance those wants and needs as we develop a plan for treatment.”
Motivating people to make healthy choices is an important part of Dr. Goldberg’s practice. One aspect of cardiology he didn’t expect during his early days of training was how much he would be talking about exercise.
“I am a champion for walking every day and getting moving,” he adds.
One of Dr. Goldberg’s favorite memories is when he was able to play tennis with a 90-year-old patient after the patient’s transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).
Outside of his practice, Dr. Goldberg plays golf and tennis to keep himself moving. He also enjoys spending time with family and exploring the world around him. He is excited for the adventures that lie ahead here in Montana.
