Introduction
Jamie Barnes is a physician assistant who treats patients with a variety of neurological conditions. He also has experience as a clinical mental health counselor.
Jamie began his medical career during his military service. He began as a dental assistant while in the U.S. Air Force and then assisted with oral surgeries. From there he became a physician assistant, focusing on health and wellness, infection control, and flight medicine. He retired from the Air Force after serving for 25 years. It was at this point that he developed an interest in neurology.
As a clinician, Jamie enjoys the interpersonal relationships he builds with his patients. He brings a sense of humor to visits, when appropriate, and takes the time to understand what is important to each patient.
“I want each patient to get the best outcome possible,” he says.
In his free time, Jamie values time with his family. He enjoys fishing, woodworking, and teaching Sunday school at his church.
