Introduction
Dr. Jeffrey MacEwen is a board-certified family medicine physician with experience in rural healthcare settings. His background also includes leadership roles in emergency medical services, wilderness medical training, and occupational health.
Dr. MacEwen began his medical career during his military service. His experiences as a task force medic during deployment in Iraq started him on a path to medical school. His training and experience led him to his passion of practicing medicine in a critical access hospital.
“I am a frontier doctor by choice and deliberate decision-making,” he says.
Working with patients to establish and meet their goals for better health is at the forefront of Dr. MacEwen’s practice. He focuses on treating and educating patients using current preventative and clinical guidelines.
Outside of his practice, outside is exactly where Dr. MacEwen likes to be. He also enjoys home improvement projects and yardwork, and you can find him watching local sporting events, including the rodeo.
