Introduction
Dr. Alfredo Ramirez is a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiothoracic surgeon. He has experience treating a wide range of conditions affecting the cardiac system and thoracic cavity, which includes the lungs and chest wall. He performs both minimally invasive and open procedures, including heart valve repair and replacement, tumor or mass removal, repair of aortic aneurysm, surgical treatments of atrial fibrillation, and coronary artery bypass grafting.
Dr. Ramirez developed an interest in science and math at an early age. He was born in a small border town in Texas and aspired to be a role model for other young Hispanic people. Dr. Ramirez fell in love with surgery during medical school and was inspired by the challenges and rigorous training required to become a cardiothoracic surgeon.
As a U.S. Navy veteran, Dr. Ramirez spent more than two decades serving as a surgeon both in military medical facilities and combat zones. He also has experience practicing as a civilian, including two years in Montana.
Dr. Ramirez is dedicated to meeting the needs and goals of his patients in all facets.
“As a surgeon, you do everything for your patients and their loved ones from pre-operative conversations to answering questions after a surgery or procedure,” he says. “We are here to serve the community and earn their trust.”
In his free time, Dr. Ramirez and his fiancée enjoy spending time with their dogs, playing golf, and traveling, especially in Montana.
