Introduction

Dr. Wong Moon is a fellowship-trained, board-certified plastic surgeon who is also residency-trained and board-certified in general surgery. He has extensive experience performing reconstructive and cosmetic surgical procedures and is also a certified hand surgery specialist.

Dr. Moon performs a variety of hand surgeries involving tendons, nerves, bone fractures, skin cancers on the hand, and hand replantation cases. He also performs other surgeries for conditions affecting the rest of the body, including microsurgery, deep inferior epigastric perforator (DIEP) flap surgery for breast reconstruction, other flap reconstructive surgeries, and cosmetic surgeries, as well as cancer removal and reconstruction following cancer treatment, including radiation.

Dr. Moon was drawn to medicine as a way to help people and improve their quality of life. The “artistic” nature of plastic surgery appealed to him, along with the variety of cases a plastic surgeon handles.

In his practice, Dr. Moon values clear and thorough communication and collaboration between himself, the patient, and the entire care team.

“A team effort that involves the patient is a helpful component in the complicated world of medicine,” he says.

In his free time, Dr. Moon enjoys spending time in nature, exercising, and fixing (small) things around the house.
