Introduction
Dr. Vijay Kumar Mulakalapalli is a fellowship-trained infectious disease physician. He treats patients with complex, rare, or persistent infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites.
Dr. Mulakalapalli’s motivation to help people during uncertain times inspired his career in medicine. He especially enjoys the straightforward nature of his medical specialty.
“I am particularly moved by the dynamic change in my patients after treatment,” he says. “You treat the infection and watch them get back to the life they were living before their illness — physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally.”
Dr. Mulakalapalli’s ultimate goal is to help patients choose the best treatment option. He relates to each patient with empathy and takes the time to understand their unique situation.
Outside of his practice, Dr. Mulakalapalli enjoys sports and physical activity. He also loves watching movies and is looking forward to exploring the Great Falls area and beyond.
