Abdullah Hafeez, MD

Introduction

Dr. Abdullah Hafeez is a physician who cares for patients during a hospital stay. His training and experience span the full spectrum of internal medicine, including inpatient and outpatient care and caring for critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit. 

Both of Dr. Hafeez’s parents were physicians and, growing up, he was particularly inspired by how much their patients trusted them. 

“Earning that kind of trust is part of what drew me to internal medicine, where you care for the whole patient through the complexity of a hospital stay,” he says. “It often involves not only a single illness, but the many conditions someone carries at once. I hope to keep earning that trust with every patient I care for.” 

Dr. Hafeez knows the importance of overseeing the whole course of a patient’s stay, from admission through discharge and the follow-up afterward, so no one falls through the cracks. He takes the time to understand where a patient is coming from and communicates with his patients and their loved ones clearly, so they always know what’s happening and why. 

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Hafeez likes to play and watch a lot of sports, especially cricket (he’s a left-arm fast bowler) and soccer. He enjoys being outdoors and has recently started cooking, although he is still perfecting his signature dishes.
