Introduction
Nicholas Reckers is a physician assistant who provides care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular conditions requiring surgery. His clinical experience and training span general, vascular, and cardiothoracic surgery, including preoperative and postoperative care.
Nicholas was drawn to medicine by a desire to combine fast-paced, highly technical surgical interventions with compassionate patient care. He knew the operating room was where he wanted to be, and he fell in love with cardiothoracic surgery because of its intricate complexity and the profound, life-changing impact it has on a patient’s daily quality of life.
Treating each patient as an individual is important to Nicholas. He pairs clinical precision with empathy and active listening, breaking down medical jargon into clear terms and ensuring patients and their loved ones feel informed and supported.
“True excellence means being a dependable advocate for my patients from the moment they prepare for surgery until they safely return home,” he says.
Nicholas grew up on a family farm in Ohio, but he fell in love with Montana during his first trip to Glacier National Park when he was 13. He is thrilled to return to the region. Outside of work, Nicholas values time with his family and their dog. He enjoys hiking, biking, camping, snowboarding, climbing, and sailing. He also likes to travel and work on projects around the house when he has time.
