Introduction
Bowen Trystianson is a nurse practitioner who treats individuals with complex, rare, or persistent infections caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. He also has experience in the specialty of rheumatology, caring for immunosuppressed and vulnerable patients.
Bowen’s interest in biology led him to a career in medicine, first as a phlebotomist, and then in public health as a registered nurse with a focus on prevention and management of communicable diseases which further cultivated his interest in the specialty of infectious disease.
“To me, excellent patient care means really taking the time to hear and understand my patients. This is often the first pivotal step in understanding how I as a provider can help,” he says. “This can often seem rushed in modern healthcare.”
Outside of work, Bowen values spending time with family, whether it’s a movie night at home or an exciting vacation. He also enjoys practicing martial arts, working on projects around his home, and working on his vehicles.
