Introduction
Dr. Alexander Chung is a wound care specialist with a background in orthopedic surgery. He provides his patients with compassion, education, and a comprehensive view of their condition.
His surgical background gives him the unique perspective of understanding what can happen to acute, chronic, and non-healing wounds if they are not properly cared for. Dr. Chung is passionate about educating patients about complications they could face down the road and how to prevent them.
“My goal is to have the patient understand their condition, understand what they need to get better, and for them to buy into that plan,” he explains.
Dr. Chung was first inspired to become a doctor by his mother as he grew up on the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. He takes great pleasure in his career as it allows him to meet many new people.
In his free time, he enjoys camping, fishing, and scale modeling. Dr. Chung speaks English, Malay, Japanese, and Chinese (Hakka).
