Introduction
Heidi Fritz is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in critical care at Benefis.
Her interest in medicine began early. “I told my mother when I was 5 years old that I wanted to be a neonatal intensive care nurse,” she remembers.
Heidi loves taking good care of patients and their families. She feels that it’s the little things that matter the most to people when they’re in the hospital.
“Anybody can work monitors and machines, but it takes a special personality to genuinely care for a patient and his or her family members,” she explains.
Her care philosophy centers on being honest and treating patients with respect. “I take pride in telling families the truth, whether that information is good or bad.”
Outside her practice, Heidi spends most of her time working with her husband and their two sons on their ranch 50 miles outside of Great Falls.
