Introduction
Kaitlan Breckel is a physician assistant who specializes in cardiothoracic surgery. She has experience caring for patients throughout their continuum of care. Kaitlan has six years of experience treating patients in the Intensive Care Unit and in outpatient settings.
Practicing medicine has been Kaitlan’s lifelong dream. She worked as a certified nursing assistant and an emergency medical technician before completing her master’s degree is physician assistant studies.
Kaitlan’s interest in cardiac surgery started early in her career, and although it is a specialized field, her care extends beyond the heart.
“It’s important to consider the entire patient,” she says. “How are they feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally?”
Kaitlan also strives to be clear in her approach with patients and ensure that they feel included in decisions regarding their care.
The Mountain West called to Kaitlan, who grew up in Michigan. She owns a horse and has a longtime love of riding that she plans to explore further in Montana. Kaitlan is also a fitness enthusiast and enjoys hiking with her husband.
