Introduction
Dr. Kevin McCrea is a family medicine doctor who specializes in newborn, pediatric, and adult medicine, as well as geriatric and well woman care.
His care philosophy is to provide high-quality care with sensitivity to cost. “We, as primary care physicians – particularly in family medicine – are not just here to refer patients to some other provider,” he explains. “The first choice is to care for the patient and then refer to a specialist if needed.”
Dedication to his patients and respect for his colleagues keeps him passionate about his career. “As a family physician, each day I wake up going to work knowing that we are helping people,” he says. “We also get to work with other tremendously talented caregivers and nurses. We all work together to improve our patients’ health and make a better community.”
Dr. McCrea wants his patients to get the most out of their visits with him. He advises: “We are here to help. Come prepared with your medical history – written down, if possible. And, dress appropriately for your healthcare appointment and exam.”
At a young age, Dr. McCrea was inspired to become a family medicine doctor by the local doctors in his Montana hometown. He enjoys continuing to live in Montana today with his family.
