Introduction
Dr. Thomas Attaway is a gastroenterologist who performs advanced endoscopic procedures to diagnose and treat conditions of the digestive tract.
“It’s very gratifying to be able to use these abilities to help people who are having difficulties with their health,” he says about his training and experience.
For Dr. Attaway, the path to practicing medicine started with inspiration from his own family physician. “When I was young I enjoyed interacting with him,” Dr. Attaway says. “He was very intelligent and had a wonderful way with people.”
Compassion is at the core of his care philosophy. “I really care about people,” he says. “I try very hard to help them in any way I can.” His advice to patients is simple: “Take care of yourself. You only get one life and one body here on earth.”
Outside the hospital, Dr. Attaway loves outdoor activities such as hiking, fly fishing, and skiing. He also enjoys going to church.
