Introduction
Wendy Killham is a family nurse practitioner who specializes in emergency care. Her inspiration for pursuing a career in healthcare was “to care for individuals who have no access to healthcare.” Her favorite part of her job is interacting with patients and showing them that someone cares.
When treating patients, Wendy takes an individualized approach. She believes that “each patient has their own emergency,” and must be treated accordingly. Her advice to patients is to not Google their symptoms, but instead seek the professional advice of a reputable healthcare professional.
Beyond providing patient care, Wendy also has experience teaching student nurses, is active in several professional associations, and regularly presents at nursing conferences. In her downtime, Wendy enjoys quilting.
