Introduction

Whitney McKinley specializes in oncology – for a decade, she worked as a chemotherapy-certified registered nurse before becoming a nurse practitioner. Her sincerity shines through in caring for patients, something she’s always known she’s wanted to do. Whitney also enjoys palliative and hospice care.

In helping her patients navigate their diagnosis, Whitney addresses all components of the person, not just the illness. She emphasizes quality of life and enjoys being a calming and supportive influence during hard times.

“Oncology patients are some of the strongest I’ve met,” she says. “I’m honored to be part of their health journey and try to have a positive impact during a tumultuous time, by providing reassurance, support, and guidance.”

Whitney encourages her patients to take it one day at a time and to ask questions as they arise. “Oncology treatment takes strength and stamina,” she explains.

Born and raised in Havre, Whitney is grateful to be making an impact in her home state. She enjoys spending time with her family and seeking out educational opportunities in a field that is ever-evolving to optimize patient outcomes.
