Getting Your Life Back

If you’re addicted to alcohol, prescription pain medicines, or other mood-altering substances, it can feel like you’ve lost control of your life. The compassionate providers at Benefis Behavioral Health can help you take back that control and enjoy life again.

Our staff includes a physician who is board-certified in addiction medicine and other dedicated professionals. We understand that your struggle with addiction is unique to you, and we design a recovery plan that fits your specific situation. Your care plan will likely include medication-assisted treatment as well as individual and group therapy.

Evaluation Services

Your first appointment is an evaluation interview. You'll talk with one of our licensed professionals so we can gather basic information about you and your reasons for coming to us. We use this information to understand you better as a person and to make recommendations for treatment (if needed). We will work with you to develop a treatment plan, either at Benefis or with another agency in the community.

TRUST Grant

DPHHS is funding six substance abuse treatment programs across the state to implement a pilot project with intensive training and technical assistance on TRUST (Treatment of Users of Stimulants), an evidence-based model to address stimulant use disorder. The pilot will not only help people with recovery, it will also provide an opportunity for DPHHS to evaluate its efficacy and the feasibility of eventually including the model for Medicaid reimbursement.

Outpatient Therapy

At Benefis, we offer cognitive behavioral therapy and other therapies, which can help you change harmful patterns of behavior. Talk therapy gives you tools to identify challenging and stressful situations and find better ways to respond to them.

You will meet with your counselor one-on-one, and participate in a group with other people who share similar struggles. All therapy is provided in a comfortable and safe setting.

Focused Care for Expectant Moms

If you’re pregnant and addicted to any mood-altering substance, Benefis Behavioral Health can help. We understand that you want the best for your baby, and we don’t judge your behavior or your situation. Instead, we’re here for you with:

  • Prenatal care that considers the effects of your addiction on your baby
  • Labor and delivery with providers who are experts in caring for new babies who have been exposed to alcohol, opioids, or other drugs before birth
  • Post-partum care that’s right for your situation
  • Expert care for your new baby as he or she withdraws from an addictive substance
