Benefis Peace Hospice of Montana

Providing Comfort, Compassion, and Support

Hospice care is for patients and families experiencing life limiting illness. The emphasis of hospice is on care, not cure. Hospice focuses on medical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual support to ensure patients are able live out the remaining portion of their lives with as much quality of life, comfort, and dignity as possible.

Benefis Peace Hospice of Montana cares for patients wherever they call home throughout Cascade, Pondera, Toole, Teton, and Chouteau counties.

A patient's “home” may be their own private residence, the home of a loved one, an assisted living facility, an adult family home, or nursing home. We also offer hospice at the Peace Hospice House Residential/Inpatient Facility. Our hospice team is specially trained to help people as they face the emotional, spiritual, and practical matters at end of life.

Our Hospice Care Team

Benefis Peace Hospice of Montana is founded on interdisciplinary teams which meet the individual patient needs. Hospice team members work with the patient’s primary care provider to create and adhere to a plan that facilitates the patient living out their last days to the fullest and according to their preferences. The hospice interdisciplinary team may include:

  • Primary care physician
  • Peace Hospice of Montana Medical Director
  • Chaplain
  • Clinical Social Worker
  • Dietitian
  • Home Health Aide
  • Registered Nurse Case Manager
  • Pharmacist
  • Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists
  • Specially Trained Volunteers
  • Bereavement Counselors

The foremost goal of hospice is to care for the patient and loved ones in such a way as to create comfort, care and meaning in a home environment.
