Your cancer care with us is personalized to fit your specific condition and designed to give you the best possible outcome. Our state-of-the-art care makes us one of Montana’s most comprehensive and advanced cancer facilities.

The Right Care at the Right Time

Each person with cancer is different, and your cancer team at Benefis will use the treatments that work best for you. You may have one or more of these:

  • Chemotherapy. This uses specific drugs that travel through the body and destroy cancer cells. Chemotherapy is also used to keep cancer from growing and spreading.
  • Radiation therapy. This is a type of cancer treatment that uses beams of intense energy (usually X-rays) to kill cancer cells.
  • Hormone therapy. Some cancers use hormones in the body to grow and spread. Hormone therapy lowers the levels of these hormones to keep cancer from returning or to limit its growth.
  • Immunotherapy. This uses your own immune system to fight cancer. Some types of immunotherapy boost the immune system overall, while others train it to attack specific cancer cells.
  • Genetic counseling. People who have a family history of cancer can benefit from learning their risks for developing cancer or passing increased cancer risk to their children. Genetic counseling may involve testing to identify inherited gene mutations.

Advanced Technologies

Cancer specialists at Benefis use innovative technologies such as the Varian Edge™ Radiosurgery System, which delivers highly accurate radiation treatment to tumors and can shorten treatment times. And our 3D mammograms take multiple images of breast tissue to create a detailed, three-dimensional picture of the breast.

Cancer Care Especially for Women

  • Gynecologic oncology. Women with cancers of the cervix, ovaries, vagina or vulva receive expert care from our gynecologic cancer specialists.
  • Mammography Services. The Benefis mammography services give women a full range of services for breast health.
