Expert Care for Arthritis and Related Conditions

You can get relief from pain, swelling, and other symptoms of rheumatic diseases – conditions that affect your joints, muscles, bones, and ligaments. Benefis offers care for all types of rheumatic diseases, including autoimmune diseases that can affect your skin, kidneys, and other organs.

Our rheumatologists work together with medical specialists in a variety of areas to ensure you get complete care. Your team may include a dermatologist, kidney specialist, orthopedic specialist, or other providers as needed. Your rheumatologist may also bring in a dietitian, pain management expert, or physical therapist as part of your team to help you feel your best.

We design a treatment program to help you manage your condition and give you the best possible results. Rheumatic disease often requires ongoing care and symptoms often change over time, so your provider will adapt your program and help you take control of your health.

We use the latest approaches to diagnose and treat a full range of conditions, including:

Infusion Treatment

Many rheumatic conditions – such as arthritis, lupus, and osteoporosis – are treated with intravenous infusion of medicine. That means it’s delivered through a vein. The Benefis Infusion Suite provides high-quality care in a calm, healing atmosphere that’s designed for your comfort.

We offer comfy recliners, blankets, and pillows to help you relax. The infusion team’s rheumatologist, registered nurses, and pharmacy technician are specially trained to ensure your safety and well-being.

Your healthcare provider will give you information about the medicine and how to prepare for your infusion appointment – such as any medicines you need to take beforehand, like acetaminophen. When you come for your appointment:

  • Bring a list of current medications, including supplements and over-the-counter medicines, and any allergies.
  • To help pass the time, bring a book or other reading material, crossword puzzles, or an iPod to listen to music.
  • Wear loose-fitting, comfortable clothes.
