Body Procedures

  • Arm lifts - Brachioplasty, or commonly known as an arm lift, is an elective, surgical procedure used to remove unwanted fatty deposits and excess skin from the upper arm region of the upper torso from the armpit to the elbow. The result is an upper arm that is proportionate to the rest of the arm and body, and one that is smooth, contoured and toned.
  • Body lifts - The body lift is a combination of several surgical procedures, including the abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) and liposuction.
  • Liposuction - Liposuction is a procedure where excess fat is removed from problem areas. Liposuction is no substitute for diet and exercise. Please contact Dr. Ploplys to see if liposuction is right for you.
  • Mommy Makeover - The toll that pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding can have on a woman’s body can be overwhelming, both physically and emotionally. Even with proper diet and exercise, often it is nearly impossible to restore one’s post-pregnancy body back to one’s pre-pregnancy body.
  • Thigh lift - Once excess fat and skin accumulate on your inner and outer thigh, it becomes one of the most difficult areas of the body to firm and tone. Often, even with proper diet and exercise, the thigh area may never respond as you wish it would.
  • Abdominoplasty (Tummy Tuck) - The abdominoplasty procedure, commonly referred to as the “Tummy Tuck” can be an effective way to eliminate excess fatty tissues and stretched skin and even tighten weak and collapsed abdominal muscles, dramatically flattening the waistline.
  • Fat grafting - Fat grafting involves removing fat from certain areas of the body and injecting the fat into other areas.
  • Gluteal augmentation - Used to improve the contour, size, and shape of the buttocks, gluteal augmentation utilizes implants and/or fat grafting.
  • Gender confirmation surgery - This surgery can help people be more comfortable with their gendered self.
  • Skin cancer removal - Surgery is a common treatment for certain types of skin cancer.
  • Labiaplasty - Surgery on the labia, called labiaplasty, is a vaginal rejuvenation procedure that reduces the length of the labia minora.
  • Scar revisions - The appearance of scars may be minimized or improved with scar revision surgery.

Breast Procedures:

  • Breast augmentation - The actual procedure, called augmentation mammaplasty, involves surgically inserting a breast implant prosthesis under either the fatty tissues of the existing breast or under the breast muscles, depending on the look you want to achieve. Breast augmentation surgery can:
    • Increase breast size and shape
    • Bring a sense of balance and symmetry to your body
    • Bolster self-esteem and confidence
  • Breast lift - Mastopexy, or the procedure known as the ‘breast lift,’ reconstructs the breast structure so that excess fat and skin is removed, tightening the breast tissues, giving it a ‘lifted’ appearance. The procedure is typically performed in order to reverse the effects of preganancy, breastfeeding and dramatic weight loss, which can leave the breasts lacking volume, shape and symmetry.
  • Breast reconstruction - Breast Reconstruction is a type of surgery for women who have had a breast removed (mastectomy). The surgery involves rebuilding the breast to restore size and shape.
  • Breast reduction - The Breast Reduction procedure is an amazing surgical technique that was designed to reduce or eliminate the physical problems associated with having very large breasts. Removing excess fat, skin and glandular tissues creates smaller, firmer and ultimately, lighter breasts that are proportionate to the body size and type of the woman, thus alleviating the pain and discomfort of having disproportionately large breasts.

Facial Procedures:

  • Blepharoplasty - The appearance and function of our eyelids can change drastically as we age. Some people develop unattractive, droopy upper lids that may interfere with vision. Others can have problems with lower lids leading to unsightly bags, excessive tearing, dryness of the eyes and even scratches to the eye’s surface.
  • Face Lift - The Face Lift is a cosmetic enhancement surgery that restores sagging facial muscles and loose skin to a more youthful looking state by surgically removing excess skin and fatty deposits in the face, chin and jaw, while smoothing and tightening skin to create a rejuvenated, youthful look. Recovery times vary depending on the patient and extent of correction needed to achieve the desired results, but Face Lift patients typically see results begin to emerge after the third week after surgery and will fully recover after six months after surgery.
  • Non-Surgical
    • Skin rejuevenation
    • Eyelid rejuvenation
  • Otoplasty - Some people are born with ears that stick out from the side of the head and are more prominent than others. For these people, there is otoplasty, or commonly referred to as ear surgery, which surgically sets the ears back against the sides of the head, so the protrusion is minimized and the ears are brought to a normative position on the sides of the head.
  • Rhinoplasty - Rhinoplasty, or commonly known as nasal surgery, is performed to correct physiological as well as aesthetic defects such as a deviated septum and abnormalities as the result of prior injury or genetics. These abnormalities can obstruct air flow into the lungs and cause breathing problems, snoring or sleep apnea. Patients also seek rhinoplasty to correct aesthetic defects, that when corrected provide balance and harmony to their facial features, thus complimenting their natural beauty.

Procedures for Males:

  • Liposuction - Liposuction is a procedure where excess fat is removed from problem areas. Liposuction is no substitute for diet and exercise.
  • Eyelids - The appearance and function of our eyelids can change drastically as we age. Some people develop unattractive, droopy upper lids that may interfere with vision. Others can have problems with lower lids leading to unsightly bags, excessive tearing, dryness of the eyes and even scratches to the eye’s surface.
  • Gynecomastia - Male Breast Reduction is the surgical removal of enlarged male breast tissues by the cutting out of excess tissue or by liposuction. This plastic surgery procedure is specifically created for men who suffer from gynecomastia and whose breasts are enlarged by excess fatty deposits and enlarged nipples.
